"The cosmos is within us. We are made of star-stuff. We are a way for the universe to know itself."- Carl Sagan

As a Christian and science enthusiast, I find the Big Bang theory to be a fascinating scientific explanation and philosophical dilemma for many religions for how our universe came into existence. In its infancy, all the energy, matter, and space that encompass the cosmos today were compressed into an inconceivably minuscule singularity. Then, in an astonishing release of energy, the universe commenced its journey. Time unfurled, space expanded exponentially, and the universe embarked on an intricate voyage of evolution, birthing galaxies, stars, planets, and the intricate web of cosmic structure that surrounds us today. However, does this explosive event, resonate with the concept of God's act of creation? For me, the Big Bang theory doesn't diminish or factuate the significance of God's role as the Creator. Instead, it offers a glimpse into the mechanisms and methods by which we describe our world. While science can explain the "how" of the universe's origin, it doesn't answer the deeper questions about purpose and meaning. This project is my attempt to visualize how the big bag occurred. Evidently, Visualizing the Big Bang involves imagining an initial incredibly dense point containing all matter and energy. It’s impossible to picture an explosive expansion, stretching space and giving rise to galaxies! But we can always imagine and always hypothesize. With a partnership with TELUS World Science Organization, enjoy some of my works in light photography: intricate atomic structures to fireworks across the cosmos.
